It's kind of weird that they didn't just come out and tell you. Why make you waste all their time calling them? Very unprofessional.

LOL! Otakufuel. I bought figures from there TWICE, and that's about all the figures I'll buy from them. It'd only be once if Toyslogic didn't screw me over, but that's another story. Both of them doesn't seem to value international customers that much.

Otakufuel customer service is very questionable. I asked them about combining shipping for a super-sale item (which, in their crazy policy, can't be shipped with another item. WTF?) with another item and they told me "We don't do free shipping to international customers because we'd be losing money. The point of our business is to make money. ;)" That's what they told me in their exact words. Really nice. *claps*

Then they didn't have one of the items in stock, told me they "just" sold out before my order, and took a couple weeks to sort everything for me. In the end, they weren't that bad once I became a paying customer and tolerated my order changes. But I'm cutting my ties with them because of the ridiculous shipping cost they're charging me.

Banning a customer because they make "too many" changes/cancellations is stupid. It's not like they're the only ones selling anime merchandise, we'll just look elsewhere.

In the end, it's their lost, not yours, because bad word of mouth spreads faster than good ones.

@ Envoy - Probably, it's hard to ignore someone that much.

@ Kizo - About one year ago I cancelled a figure and they let me know it hurts my standing with them every time I cancel something. I didn't think that was a big deal because I rarely cancel stuff. The only other item I cancelled was one that looked like Kotobukiya USA itself cancelled because of the intense delays.

@ Fish - I guess the whole point is they don't want to ever risk dealing with me making whatever mistake I made again...

@ Guy - If you cancel too much you ruin your good standing with them. I was told this over the phone by their representative about a year ago. They upped their system since then though so it might result in banishment if you cancel too much these days, I can't say for sure though. Last I checked though she said if you cancelled too much they would force you to pay for pre-orders up front. It would make sense to ban someone for hacking. But I have no idea how to go about hacking something, I even made sure to not use their images...

This sounds so weird...

I mean, if someone cancels orders, they ban him? You know this for a fact? This sounds so weird and beyond the pale.
At worst, I'd say, freeze their account and don't let them make orders, but, what purpose does blocking them from seeing your site serve?!

The only reason I can see for a ban is if someone tried to hack their site or something to that effect, and they blocked the whole sub-net, and you were caught in it. But if they have a tendency to ban users from seeing their site, then that's totally fucked up.
