I recently was startled to see the value of my manga collection at over $14,000!!! It took me a moment to realize that this value was assuming that I had paid full retail price on my manga volumes (which I RARELY DO). But I probably paid about 75% of that value for my collection, that’s still a lot of money. But no regrets
I’ve been collecting manga since the Sailor Moon manga was first introduced in the US about 12 years ago, so it’s only natural I’d have this much (lol…yes…natural…). Manga is something very special to me, probably even more special than anime and figures. So I almost never sell my manga, there have only been a few rare exceptions that usually involve me accidentally buying doubles. I wonder if I’ll be able to keep my entire collection until the end of my days, would be nice. I also wonder if their value will go up, or plummet with the digital age beginning to take over books?
