So first off…why use Yahoo Japan? In Japan, Yahoo is the more populated auction site, kind of like how eBay is here in the US. I didn’t know that until just this year myself. Typically I use Yahoo Japan to purchase out of print figures that the assholes sellers on eBay have recognized the supply and demand of, and are asking too much for. Our eBay is a strange thing that you can often get really ripped off on when it comes to figures. Pre-owned figures that have been opened can easily sell for twice the retail price. However, on Yahoo Japan the figure may sell at retail price despite being rarer. It seems as though the mindset on Yahoo Japan is that if its been opened the value drops significantly, whereas that doesn’t seem to matter as much on eBay. At least this is what I think from what I’ve seen in my limited experiences.

FEAR #2 – Language Barrier
FEAR #3 – Proxy Fees
FEAR #4 – Something Goes Wrong (ex: item broken or never arrived)
