Figures

Clearly I buy too many a healthy number of figures, I buy the majority of my figures from online stores/auctions. Need to know if you can trust a certain store? I can help a bit, I’ve compiled all of my Figure Store Experiences [post in progress] and the pros and cons of each store into that summary post, I update it accordingly. Other bloggers also have developed their own reviews of Figure Stores Meronpan Figure Store Reviews and Jem Figure Store Reviews . It’s useful to read about another person’s experiences with figure stores.

I have the P.O.P. chibi strawhats on pre-order too^.^ After seeing all the figures you can afford it really makes me want to get a job. Also do you have any comments or insight about animewild.com? I placed an order with them over year ago and sent them several messages but they never reply or have ever updated my order. I really want to buy stuff from them but I’m not sure I can trust them.

Stay far far away from Anime Wild, I’ve bought once from them on Amazon with good results. But buying directly from their web site was rough and I know quite a few others that have had issues with them too. Buy elsewhere if you can, but if they have your money already be prepared for an awful fight.

They never charged me but if I go to my account on there site they still have my order “Processing”. They have a lot of older harder to find figures, so I was debating trying to order from them again. Is it safe to use there amazon then or does it have a lot of problems too? I see your getting the 1/4 Kagami. Is it because you actually like it or is it because it will kill you if you’re missing part of the set : )

Those “older rarer figures” listed as in stock on their site they don’t actually have from my previous experience. I bought the Kotobukiya Mitsuru from them via Amazon first and things worked out fine though there. I avoid AnimWild altogether these days. I ended up ordering the Kagami probably to complete the set, I’m not 100% pleased with her facial expression though.

Again. It is nice to see that I am not the only one with “buying” problem.

I am a little curious as to how you preordered the Volks Horo even though her preorder hasn’t opened, yet. I am just gonna guess that you either plan on getting her or prepaid someone to go and get her for you in the future.
Great choice. I plan on getting her as well. I can’t preorder the FREEing Kagami because I can’t justify the price tag with her face. If they made it look like the Wave Kagami, I’d be much happier. The FREEing Konata on the other hand greatly pleases me. I don’t own any scaled Lucky Star figures because I was never happy with any of the released ones, but 1 giant Konata should be more than sufficient to represent that character in an army, I’d say.

I paid for Horo last week via Tokyo Hunter, since several individuals have reported success with him I’ve decided to trust him too. I believe he said pre-orders open June 25th for her, I paid $100 including his fee/shipping to him. The FREEing Kagami came down a BIT in price since she first debuted on TL, although I do admit she is a pre-order I’m probably doing just to complete the set. I kind of want to display the Lucky Star gym clothes cast next to my Haruhi FREEing Bunny Set. But it’s true I can’t defend that price on Kagami :( My worst nightmare would be my Konata pre-order falling through and being bound to get Kagami by TL’s new policy on “no cancellation” items.

I figured as much. You can definitely trust Tokyo Hunter because this is what he does even though I have never bought anything from him. I actually won’t put up that I have something on preorder unless my preorder has been confirmed just in case I need to hunt, but it shouldn’t be a problem for the Volks Horo. Hmmm, $100. I need to compare prices, but I’ll probably get it with my friend who holds my stuff for me.

@ Jem – Ya I guess you could say I’m counting my chickens before they hatch already putting her up on my pre-order list. I hadn’t considered he wouldn’t be able to get my pre-order, in which case I’ll have to explore alternate routes because I’d like to get this one at the pre-order stage if I can.
